Google pissed me off, so I decided to start poking around for a place to move my blog over there. This seems like a nice place, and very pretty, so I'm intrigued. I'll spend a little while getting familiar, and we'll see where this relationship goes. ;)
About Manga Snark:
It all started with my awareness of a new movie that followed a manga storyline. If I needed to read the manga to understand the movie, then so be it. But in reading that manga, my fiction-obsessed brain began to nitpick at storytelling mechanics, inconsistencies, and various odds and ends until I started writing them all down.
This blog is my record of all those little nitpicks, chapter by chapter. Accompanied by a recap of the chapter complete with pictures, I attempt to analyze and pull apart the meat of the installment as well as give my opinion on the quality and execution of said meat. Some posts may be longer or shorter depending on the content of the chapter, but they all try to make connections, predictions, and overall sense of how everything fits (or doesn't fit) within the whole storyline.
Currently I am covering two series that are of personal interest to me; Yu-Gi-Oh and Inuyasha. I am hoping to add more series down the line, however, and am always open to suggestions. Feel free to drop me an email (writchcodex@gmx.com), or just leave me a comment here. Using words is cool, bro.
