Inuyasha Manga: 006 Inverted-Hair Yura

How does one "invert" hair? Does it grow inside the skull into the brain or something? Or maybe it's one of those cases of ingrown body hair that just kind of hangs out just beneath the skin and gets infected. I've gotten that from shaving my legs a couple of times, and it's a little painful, but it's not "scary" per se. Just annoying. If I wasn't already intimately acquainted with who Yura was, I would be wondering how RT would make ingrown hair into a demon.

And that notion is cracking me up.
